The SESU rescuers are getting ready for the recertification in the INSARAG system
An important training session took place in Gdansk, Poland, as part of the preparation for the recertification of the Ukrainian HUSAR INSARAG team. The event was held as part of the "Program for Improving the Development of the Operational Activities of the Search and Rescue Unit of Ukraine", which is aimed at increasing the qualifications of the command staff and technical training of the team members, as well as expanding the training ground.

The representatives of the Mobile Rescue Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine joined the training. Established in 2014, the MRC Ukraine team regularly confirms its qualifications in accordance with international INSARAG standards every 5 years.

According to INSARAG requirements, the team has to confirm its qualifications every 5 years. Now the team is preparing for the next recertification scheduled for 2025, and this training plays an important role in the preparation.
During the training, the participants discussed practical issues of organizing the work of the EXCON team, the drawing team and got acquainted with possible working points and the base camp where the EXCON team will work during the certification.

The training improved the cooperation of the Ukrainian delegation with the State Fire Service of the Republic of Poland, which allowed to establish important working contacts.
The Polish part has expressed its readiness to conduct additional trainings for those who will participate in the certification and its support, which will significantly increase the level of training of Ukrainian rescuers.
