Representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine attended a course on operational integration of OIS
An Operational Integration Training Course (OIC) aimed to increase awareness and knowledge of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and its work was held in Garstad, Norway.
Such exercises will help to strengthen operational cooperation between the emergency response services in the country affected by the disaster, European assistance provided in accordance with the EU's Host Nation Support (HNS) directives and other national and international standards.
The experience gained is extremely important for Ukrainian rescuers. They will be able to more effectively organise disaster relief efforts both in Ukraine and abroad.
This is especially important for the heavy class search and rescue team of the MRC Ukraine, classified in the INSARAG system, as well as during the elimination of the consequences of emergencies in Ukraine with the involvement of European assistance.
Mykola Dukhnych, Captain of the Civil Protection Service and Leading Specialist of the International Cooperation Department, who held a certificate of completion of the OIC Operational Integration Course, took part in the exercise on behalf of the Mobile Rescue Centre of the SES of Ukraine.
