Representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine took part in the Meeting of Directors-General within the framework of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism
On April 25-26, the 52nd Meeting of the Directors-General of member and participant states of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism was held in the capital of Belgium - Brussels.
During the meeting, the participants discussed strengthening the stability of Europe and cooperation within the framework of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
The representatives of the Ukrainian delegation, first of all, thanked the European partners for the versatile support of Ukrainian rescuers at a time when Ukraine is facing full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

They separately emphasized that rescuers who rapidly arrive to save people often come under targeted enemy strikes.
The Ukrainian delegation has informed about the main areas of activity of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the current challenges facing the rescuers in the conditions of war.

It was also informed about the work carried out by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the context of joining the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and further plans.
In turn, the European partners assured that they will continue to stand by Ukraine, which is fighting against Russian aggression, and expressed their assurance of further support for Ukrainian rescuers.
