Polish-Ukrainian cooperation: a new step towards the improvement of training grounds for rescuers of the INSARAG heavy class team
A two-day meeting with the Polish delegation took place at the Mobile Rescue Center of Rapid Response of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, which became part of the project to improve the efficiency of the search and rescue team of Ukraine.
The goal of the project is to improve the technical skills and professional competencies of the management team, as well as to expand the capabilities of the center to train a heavy class INSARAG team capable of responding effectively to emergency situations both at the national and international levels.
The representative of the delegation, Katerzyna Barbara, the architect of the training ground of the Polish USAR team, inspected the training ground of the center in order to develop architectural plans and technical specifications for improving the training base of the search and rescue team.
During the visit, Polish experts got acquainted with the work of the center. Delegates had the opportunity to evaluate the special equipment used in rescue operations and attend dog training.
This cooperation is of great importance for the integration of international experience and standards in the training program of Ukrainian rescuers, contributing to the creation of a training ground that will meet European requirements and standards.
