SES deminers improve their skills: training on explosive ordnance disposal took place in Denmark

In Central Jutland of the Kingdom of Denmark, with the assistance of the Danish Refugee Council in Ukraine, a large-scale training on the disposal of explosive ordnance according to international standards (EOD IMAS Level 3) took place.

Highly qualified specialists from different countries took part, including SES deminers, as well as a specialist of the Mobile Rescue Centre of the SES of Ukraine - Head of the Pyrotechnic Department, Yan Pushkar, who successfully passed all the tests and received the EOD IMAS Level 3 qualification.

The course not only provided the participants with new knowledge but also improved their practical skills in the area of explosive ordnance disposal and destruction, as well as humanitarian demining.

During the training, they practiced working with landmines, mines and booby traps, as well as the rules for storing, transporting and handling explosive materials. In addition, considerable attention was paid to the clearing of combat areas and threat assessment and planning.
