French partners donated equipment and machinery to the State Emergency Service
The Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Centre of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received equipment and machinery from French partners. The ceremony was attended by Oleksiy Migrin, Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, representatives of the Service, and the Department of Security and Defence Cooperation (DCSD) of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The guests familiarised themselves with the technical capabilities of the Centre. The equipment presented included mine clearance and radiation, chemical and biological protection equipment, which plays a key role in responding to emergencies.
The official part began with welcoming remarks and a brief introduction, after which the attendees watched a video about the capabilities of the State Emergency Service units. During the video presentation, the guests were able to see the practical application of the equipment donated by France. Live footage, real operations and clear technical coordination all served to demonstrate the real work of the service.
A separate part of the meeting was devoted to the issue of demining, one of the most pressing areas of work today. The French partners watched an informative video about Ukraine's experience in this field, which sparked a lively discussion.
At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed further cooperation, outlined common priorities, summarised the results of previous cooperation and agreed on the next steps in the bilateral partnership.
‘We are sincerely grateful to the Government of the French Republic, the Directorate for Security and Defence Cooperation of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, and the friendly people of France for their constant support and much-needed assistance to our rescuers, which is extremely important for Ukraine today,’ emphasised Oleksii Migrin.
