The delegation of the SES of Ukraine took part in the Basic Course of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism
During January 16-19, in Chisinau (Republic of Moldova), representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine took part in the Basic Course on the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM), which was held within the framework of the EU Program "PPRD East 3" (Prevention, preparedness and response to natural and man-made disasters in the Eastern Partnership countries - phase 3).

The purpose of the event is to acquaint the participants with the Civil Protection Mechanism system, its goals, methods and cross-cutting themes to improve relations between partner countries with the UCPM. As well as implementation of the best practices and processes of international civil protection and establishment of interaction with the UCPM Knowledge Network.
In addition to Ukraine, representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Armenia took part in this event.

For reference: at the end of last year, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the agreement on the state participation in the EU Civil Protection Mechanism - a European system of solidarity that helps countries affected by natural disasters. The system includes various resources and forms of assistance from 27 member states of the European Union and 5 candidate countries for the EU (Iceland, Norway, Serbia, North Macedonia and Turkey).
